Aidan O’Connor is a board-certified physician assistant with over ten years experience in the medical field. She has spent a large part of her career in the field of orthopedic surgery,and has training and experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, and pediatric medicine. She has a strong background in clinical research from years of coordinating clinical trials for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Aidan completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Florida and subsequently earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Georgia, with a specialization in Epidemiology. She then earned a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Aidan has extensive clinical experience and is proficient in diagnosing and treating patients of all ages and problems. She specializes in cortisone injections, procedural medicine, and sports medicine, and spends her Friday nights in the Fall as the medical provider on the field for high school football games where she treats and manages acute injuries and wounds. She is excited to be practicing at MedThru and looks forward to using her experience and expertise to treat patients in the Urgent Care setting. Her love of medicine and passion for helping people make her a valuable addition to our medical team.
Aidan is certified by the National Commision for Certification of Physician Assistants, licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board, and is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
Lauren Scott is a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) focused on delivering high-quality healthcare. A recent graduate of Augusta University’s Masters of Physician Assistant program, she is excited to bring her expertise to the Med-Thru team. Before pursuing her PA career, Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a hospice setting for two years, gaining invaluable experience in patient-centered end-of-life care. She then worked as a pharmacy technician for one year, further developing her skills in medication management and patient education.
Lauren actively participated in volunteer initiatives during PA school, addressing diverse healthcare needs. She also spent time in Mombasa, Kenya, working as a medical assistant in a local hospital’s emergency department. Through these experiences and her clinical training in emergency medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics, Lauren developed a well-rounded skill set that equips her to provide exceptional care at Med-Thru. She is eager to apply her training and skills effectively and looks forward to contributing to the success of the team and the well-being of her patients.
Lauren is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
